The Space Warriors

The Space Warriors, S. Cowley

Stewart Cowley also penned The Space Warriors, although it’s a bit different than his better known TTA and GC titles. This single story follows Commander “Boots” Walker and his comrade, Rory Walker, as Federal Security Force troopers assigned the dangerous duty of apprehending the hostile alien, Phantor Gorth. While it’s a taunt, well-written story (aimed at younger readers), the artwork is mostly inferior to that included in the TTA and GC book. Indeed, many pieces are derived, almost directly, from better known sci-fi pieces of the era. A roster of lesser know artists contribute, with most of the artwork provided by British “fan-artist” Eddie Jones. While not at the same level as the TTA books, The Space Warriors is still a worthwhile addition to your bookshelf.
