Peter Jones is a prolific illustration with heavy emphasis on fantasy and sci-fi themes. Much of his best artwork from the 1970s was collected and published in “Solar Wind’ in 1980. Jones is still active today and offers a wider range of illustration including nature subjects and historic military aircraft.
“Solar Wind” is full color throughout, with a brief bio sketch at the beginning. Apart from the lush palette and technical skill, I most appreciate Jones ability to create bizarre and unfamiliar beings and objects. I have no idea what some of the pieces of hardware are,
but the just *look* alien.
